INSTRUCTIONS

PROJECT 1 : Auditory Imaging

We are required to create an audio image using any of the combination below. The audio should create an image for the first-person point of view to be able to visualize on what is going on based on just the audio tracks. It should be able to tell a story for the chosen scenario. Students are not allowed to use any voice or dialogs.

The choice scenarios are:

1. Wildlife + Background

2. Everyday Home Life + Background

3. Cities + Transport + Exterior Atmosphere

4. Sports Elements + Background

5. Industry and Electronic sounds + Background

6. Weather + Background

7. Market + Rural atmosphere + Background

Week 5 :

The scenario I chose is Everyday Home Life + Background for my storyline. For my storyline, instead of creating a story of someone's routine of everyday life, I decided to add a bit of a twist to it.

The story is about a lady's everyday routine starting with her going back home walking from work, then the action will happen.

The Script:

In a noisy city, a young lady going back home on her way takes a shortcut through an alley. The alley was extremely dark with the sound of a dog barking from the house on the left, a crows cawing and only far away cars' sounds. While she is walking, she receives a message from her friend so she texts her back. On the way she notices that a footsteps are getting closer from the back as if someone was following her. She ups her paste as her breath gets heavier as she stops for a couple of seconds to check on if he’s still behind her she hears his footsteps becoming faster to reach her paste. As she almost arrives at her doorstep she rushes to pull out the key and open the door, Her hands were shaking but she managed to open it. She slams the door behind her as she runs up the stairs to her room and shuts her room door. Collapsing on her knee breathing heavily after some time she signs out of relief. Suddenly, she hears the squeak of a door opening within the house. The end.

Week 6 :

This week I focused on finding suitable sound effects that can match the the story and can give me the result I want to achieve. Then I started editing using Adobe Audition.
