Lecture 1: Introduction to module
28/08/19 (Week 1)
Mr. Martin and Mr. Razif started off the class by introducing us to this new module, they then continued to explain to us what kinds of exercises and projects we will be doing this semester. Additionally, Mr. Razif told us to purchase headphones that are specific to the type of working we will be doing.
Later on, we were asked to watch stop-motion animations and pick our 3 favorite ones.
1. Fresh Guacamole by PES
2. Negative Space by Ru Kuwahata & Max Porter
3. Euphoria By Guldies
Exercise 1:
28/08/19 (Week 1)
For our first exercise, we were shown a short video clip from a netflix series as a reference and then given the similar video clips filmed by students to crop edit and combine them into one video.
Audio Session
Then we proceeded with our second session lead by Mr Razif. He gave us a simple lecture about how our ears listen to sounds. We were also introduced to a sound editing software called Adobe Audition. For this exercise, we were given 1 original track (flat) and 6 modified tracks (eq1, eq2, eq3, eq4, eq5, and eq6). We have to readjust the 6 tracks to make it sound similar to the other track by adjusting it using the Parametric Equalizer.

Video and Sound Editing
4.9.19 (Week 2)
During today's session with Mr Martin we were asked to show the stop motion videos and why we picked it to the whole class. After that, he proceeded to show us how to overlap dialog in the previous exercise we did in week 1 and how to use the ripple delete tool. Our task was to take the video where we edited in the previous week and make it only 50 seconds. I managed to shorten it to 50 seconds

Video Shooting and Sound Editing
11.9.19 (Week 3)
Today we were given a lecture about cinematography by Mr Martin. We were then asked to do the shooting exercise around campus. This is the storyboard we had to follow with 9 video shots that we have to take. He then asked us to work in pairs and my partner was Alizeh. But it soon turned out to be an eight-person group.

Audio Session
For this week, we had to create different situations and atmospheres based on a voice recording of someone talking which was given by Mr Razif. He gave us 3 scenarios to create from the audio; a telephone; talking from a closet and a stadium. We used the parametric equalizer, hard limiter, and reverb for this exercise. Here are my attempts at the audios.

After that, we had to choose slots number 2 for the romantic scene and number 3 for the horror scene, my group got the horror scene. This was for our project 2. Moreover, Mr Martin taught us how to set up the tripod and use a DSLR, thus we did the previous exercise using the 9 shots but now we had to practice with a DSLR.
This is the final video with the DSLR:
