Final Project

For our last and final project, we had to observe and get inspiration from billboards around us , the purpose of this project isn't about recreating the billboards we saw it's about the way we analysis these billboards and we get inspiration from them so we can associate it with a memory that relates to it or we can send a massage through our work, it just can be anything.

 

So after looking at the first and second billboards I got the idea of sending a massage through my work about creating the way to success and hard working to reach our goals specially in the business field after graduating then i associated it with the chess image in the third billboard since i find that chess and business share the same strategy.

For Example:

Weakest falls first:

• Chess: Pawns are small, move slowly and easier to remove.
• Business: Small companies with no protection falls quickly.

Some moves aren't logical (or are they?!):

• Chess: Players sometimes sacrifices high value pieces for added advantage later.
• Business: The competition occasionally does something outlandish.

Mistakes can cost you the game:

• Chess: A misjudged move can lead to checkmate.
• Business: An illegal judged decision can kill your business.

And many more...

So the idea of the work will be based on everything above.

Progress Of Work:

First i made the background blue then i created the pawn using pen tool

I changed the color of the pawn to white then i added a shadow to it

Then i added the king piece with the lines:

Here i was changing the gradient of the background:

Creating the running man also by using pen tool:

Then here i added texture and some image effectes:

Final Work:

Pawns refers to small experiences and progress that leads to the light I created with changing the gradient and to the King that refers to the final goal and success .

And finally the lines that shows the ups and downs in any successful journey of a successful person.

The design principles i applied to my work are: repetition, texture, dot, direction, line, scale, movement..
